In this chapter the author is placing emphasis on the reliability of God, and the worthiness for him to receive praise. The chapter continues to demonstrate the faithfulness of God over the years for the people of Israel . David is recalling Gods love for his people from the very beginning up until he brings them to Canaan. David is now king so he doesn’t include his own story in it, so it’s him just reflecting on Gods faithfulness.
